Visit to Singapore and new strategies of cooperation

From October 6 to 17, 2024 the research team of Abai KazNPU within the framework of grant project AR14872311 "Theory and technology of teachers` research activity development on the basis of integration of informal research as Action Research into university practice" was on a business trip to Singapore in order to expand scientific cooperation and exchange of experience on the topic under study. The team visited Nanyang Technological University, ranked 15th in QS World University Rankings and National Institute of Education, ranked 12th in the world in terms of teaching quality in QS World University Rankings, 2nd in terms of teaching quality in pedagogy. The coordinators organized courses on integrating the research process into the educational process and discussed the specifics of teacher training in Singapore. Dr. Chung-An of the Faculty of Social Sciences shared his experience in preparing and writing scientific articles, research methodologies, and the career development system for university teachers, Mr. Ang Chee Seng spoke about the Singaporean philosophy of education aimed at creating a supportive and developing environment for both teachers and students. The team also visited «Knightsbridge House International School», where at the meeting with Mr. Gan Chin Huat the team received comprehensive answers to all their questions. After completing the course, the team received certificates and valuable ideas about the prospects for further cooperation.
