Demo Day startup competition "Zhas kasipker Abai University 2024"

On December 11, 2024, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted the Demo Day of the "Zhas Kaspiker Abai University 2024" startup competition. This high-profile event, organized by the Department of Science, brought together student innovators, entrepreneurs, and experts, creating an exciting platform for turning bold ideas into reality.

The opening address was delivered by Ertay Sultan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations, who wished the participants success and emphasized the competition`s unique role in nurturing entrepreneurial thinking and fostering startup development.

The primary goal of the competition is to support young researchers in cultivating entrepreneurial skills, inspire students to bring their business ideas to life, and develop a new generation of creative leaders.

The journey to the final was demanding and rigorous, including application submissions, a stringent technical evaluation, and participation in both offline and online training programs. Additionally, each team received personalized consultations from experts. Out of the 16 initial teams, only 6 successfully navigated all stages to reach the final.

During the final, participants presented their groundbreaking achievements in creativity and entrepreneurship. At the Demo Day, the teams showcased their startups, which were thoroughly assessed by a distinguished panel of judges, including university leadership, entrepreneurs, and independent experts. The best projects were awarded certificates of excellence.

The "Zhas Kaspiker Abai University 2024" initiative highlights the essential role of universities as centers of innovation and entrepreneurship, inspiring the next generation of students to pursue unconventional solutions and realize their ambitious ideas.
