Abai University teachers are interning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA)  

Within the framework of the scientific internship program "500 scientists", administered by JSC CIP "Bolashak", a group of teachers of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University undergoes a year-long internship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in the direction of "Pedagogy".

The University of Illinois is among the top 100 universities in the world, having 46th position in the institutional ranking and 26th position in the program ranking (Education) QS World University Rankings 2025. It is one of the leading research centers in the United States, known for its innovative approaches to education and cutting-edge research.

The delegation includes Prof. Kulsarieva A.T., Acting Associate Prof. Yerzhanova F., Serikova S., Belassarova J., Zhunusbekova A., Senior Lecturers Zhandykeyeva G., Ospanbekov E., Umarova A., Yerimbetova J.

The internship program covers key areas of modern teacher education. Teachers study the application of artificial intelligence in education, improve their pedagogical skills and work on scientific publications under the guidance of mentors - experienced American scientists. Special attention is paid to improving English language proficiency, which is necessary for integration into the international educational space.

The successful completion of the fall semester was marked by the scholarship holders receiving certificates of specialized English language courses. At present, the internship continues and teachers of Abai KazNPU deepen their knowledge and hone their professional skills in one of the most prestigious universities of the United States of America. This program not only contributes to the professional development of teachers, but also opens new prospects for international cooperation in education. After all, the experience and knowledge gained during the internship will contribute to the introduction of advanced educational technologies in the educational process and further strengthening of pedagogical science in Kazakhstan.
