MEETING WITH THE STUDENT RECTORATE

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Bolat Tilep, held a meeting with the university’s student rectorate and student deans. The discussion focused on key issues that play an important role in student self-governance.

The university administration consistently keeps student concerns and proposals under close attention, recognizing that addressing their needs is vital for the future. Bolat Anapiyauly emphasized the importance of every student being able to express opinions freely and communicate openly.

– Every student who holds the proud title of “Abai University Student” must be able to speak independently and confidently. The elected student rector and deans should feel their responsibility and work actively, monitoring the atmosphere among students, – noted Bolat Tilep.

During the meeting, students raised several issues of concern, including living conditions in dormitories, the state of libraries and computer rooms, as well as the quality and pricing in university cafeterias. Some suggested establishing more dedicated centers for cultural events and organizational activities.

The rector assured that the administration will take appropriate measures to resolve these matters. He also announced an upcoming meeting with business partners responsible for the university’s catering services.

– If similar situations arise again, the student rectorate and deans should act promptly and address the issue without delay. You are not just students — you are active participants in university life. Remember that as elected representatives, the student rector and deans have the authority to help solve such challenges, – stressed Bolat Tilep.

The student rector and faculty deans expressed gratitude to the university leadership for their guidance, commitment to youth development, and responsiveness in addressing student concerns. Bolat Tilep concluded that such meetings will be held regularly.

From now on, the Chairman of the Board – Rector will hold meetings with the student rectorate once every two weeks in an open dialogue format to discuss and address current student issues.
