At Abai University, a literary evening titled “The Paths of a Veteran Writer” was held in honor of the 75th anniversary of Nurdaulet Akysh, a prominent figure in Kazakh literature, scholar, teacher, and notable graduate of 1973. The event was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia, faculty members, and students.

On the eve of the anniversary, the exemplary life of the writer, his creative legacy, timeless memories, and significant works were discussed. Bolat Usenbay, poet and laureate of the international “Alash” literary award, explained to the youth the meaning of Nurdaulet Akysh’s idea of the “Perfect Human.” Talented university students performed melodious musical pieces and read excerpts from the writer’s works. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask Nurdaulet Babikhanuly questions that concerned them, and the meeting unfolded in a warm and informal atmosphere.

Nurdaulet Akysh is a Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, a member of the Union of Writers and Journalists of Kazakhstan, and a Candidate of Philological Sciences. He is a laureate of the republican youth festival “Zhiger,” the international Jambyl Zhabaev Prize, and a holder of the “Kurmеt” Order. He opened new artistic horizons in Kazakh prose, developing a unique style for depicting the deepest layers of the human soul.

From 1969 to 1973, Nurdaulet Babikhanuly studied at the Faculty of Philology at the present-day Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, mastering the intricacies of the Kazakh language and literature. After graduation, he served in the military and then returned to his homeland. While working as an inspector in the district education department, he began his creative journey. Throughout his life, he worked as an editor and journalist for publishing houses such as “Mektep,” “Zhalyn,” and “Balausa,” as well as for newspapers like “Kazakh Literature” and “Kazakhstan Teacher.”

His works, including Mysterious Traces (1977), Alarm Before Dawn (1985), In the Marsh Forest (1986), and Robbers of the Sacred Lake (1987), received awards. His writings are aimed at exploring psychological depth, philosophical undertones, and spiritual codes.
