Opening of the Chair of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan

On 23 May 2018, the opening ceremony of the Chair of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the round table "The Twenty-first Session of the ANC and the tasks for the implementation of the Five Social Initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" were held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

In his welcoming speech the rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbayev noted that the opening of the APK chair is a very important event in the life of the university. The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is not just an organizational structure, it is an integral part of our life, a symbol of our peace and unity. Through the unification of efforts of all ethno-cultural associations of the country, President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan managed to create such an organization that managed to establish a constructive dialogue and mutual understanding in our multinational country.

The APK Deputy Chairman, APK Secretariat Head Leonid Prokopenko and the President of the Association of the APK Chairs Anatoly Bashmakov spoke at the round table. They noted the importance of this event and congratulated with the opening of the department. Leonid Prokopenko presented books to the new department of KazNPU.

Further, reports were made by the head of the chair of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan Abai KazNPU Georgy Kahn, chairman of the Jewish ethno-cultural association of Almaty Alexander Baron, chairman of the ethnocultural association of Kurds of Kazakhstan "Barbang" Knyaz Mirzoyev, chairman of the association "Memlekettik tilgue kurmet" Osman Asyli, head of the department of international relations of the Institute Sorbona-Kazakhstan Zhomart Simtikov and a student of the 1st course of Abai KazNPU, a member of the Student Assembly "Birlik" Ekaterina Kuchumidze.
