Seminar «Presentation and Training of IS «UNIVER»»

From 10 to 17 January was held the seminar «Presentation and Training of IS «UNIVER». This seminar was part of the extensive program of the Winter School «Professionalism and pedagogical skills».

The purpose of the seminar was to familiarize the participants with the opportunities for creating a unified educational and educational environment and an effective university management system, expanding accessibility and openness of education, improving the efficiency and quality of management decision-making, and organizing synchronized work for all participants in the learning process.

The seminar was attended by the staff of the Department of Education Informatization, the Administrative Department, the Department for Academic Affairs, the Development Strategy and Quality Analysis Department, the Center for Career Guidance and Admission, the testing center, deputy directors of the institutes.

In order to get acquainted with the information system «UNIVER», the staff of the department for the development of IP Alexander Zhaydarov and the department of planning and management of IT resources of Al-Farabi KazNU Yerlan Kistaubaev demonstrated to the participants of the seminar its wide opportunities.

With the help of this system, the following functions are effectively performed: administration of the work of the selection committee and analysis of the contingent set; management of educational activities (curriculum development, certification, etc.); organization of electronic educational document circulation for the whole technological cycle of the educational process; monitoring of the database of electronic educational and methodological materials for each discipline; management of registration for disciplines; organization of an additional semester; the formation of various types of schedules (the schedule of classes, examinations, curatorial hours, etc.); organization of a system of statistical analysis and reporting on the main tasks of the educational process; the organization of the system of administration, software support and the use of the system in the educational process, etc.

After the presentation of system «UNIVER», the participants of the seminar asked questions and received exhaustive answers and detailed instructions on the use of this information system. At the end of the seminar, all participants were awarded certificates.
