Republican football tournament among students

From 26 to 30 September 2018, on the eve of the 90th anniversary of Abai KazNPU, the Republican football tournament among students was held, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Tokmuhamed Sadykov.

The tournament was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty City Akimat, Kazakhstan Football Federation, National Student Sports Union of Kazakhstan, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The main goal of the sporting event is to popularize student football, to patriotic education of young people, to improve the organization of sports and mass work in educational institutions, to promote healthy lifestyles among young people.

The football teams of 10 universities took part in the republican sports tournament: Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, S.D. Asfendiyarov National Medical University, K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University, Kazakh National Agrarian University, D. Serikbaev East Kazakhstan State Technical University, I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu State University, Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism, «NARKHOZ» University, «TURAN» University.

The opening of the tournament took place on 26 September at the «Spartak» stadium, matches were held from September 26 to September 30 according to the games calendar.

At the opening ceremony, rector Takir Balykbaev addressed the tournament participants with a welcoming speech: «The football tournament dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Academician T. Sadykov is a sign of our great respect for him. The tournament is aimed at shaping a healthy lifestyle among young people, educating them in the spirit of patriotism and popularizing student football. Teams of 10 universities in the country attend the competition. Famous athletes and specialists, veterans and masters of Kazakhstan football participated in its organization, fair arbitration of team games. I am sure that the tournament will be held with dignity, and we should expect good results! I declare the tournament open. I wish the teams good luck!».

The final tournament was held on 30 September at the «Spartak» stadium. According to the results of the final competitions, the places were distributed as follows: 1st place - «KazAST», 2nd - «KazNU», 3rd place - «Abai KazNPU».

On 30 September, at the end of the match, the winners and participants of the republican football tournament among student youth, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Tokmuhamed Sadykov, were awarded.

The panel of judges headed by Alexander Kulakov identified the winners in the nominations «Best Player of the Tournament» - Aydin Malikov (KazNPU), «Best Forward» - Elaman Niyazbekov ((KazAST), «Best Goalkeeper» - Darkhan Argincheev (KazNU).

All nominees were awarded special prizes Abai KazNPU.
