Chess tournament dedicated to Independence Day of Kazakhstan to be held

The chess club "GARDE" of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of KazNPU named after Abay is planning to hold a chess tournament on December 10, 2022, to mark December 16, "Independence Day".

The main purpose of the tournament is: to increase students` interest in the game of chess; development of logical thinking skills; to develop attentiveness in the logic of the game, the ability to quickly and accurately calculate different variants of the move, to form the will to win and other moral qualities.

Rules: The game will be played in 7 rounds (Swiss system). The seven rounds will be played in full. The loser will not be eliminated. In the case of a tie, the matter will be decided by the Buchholz factor. Winners will receive diplomas and valuable prizes!

Venue of the tournament: Tole Bi 86 (assembly hall).
