«Round table» on the topic «V. Sukhomlinsky in dialogue with modernity»

On 6 November 2018 at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University a meeting of the round table on the topic «Vasili Sukhomlinsky in dialogue with modernity» was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vasily Aleksandrovich Sukhomlinsky - an outstanding Ukrainian world-famous teacher.

The «round table» was held in honor of the 90th anniversary of Abai KazNPU.

Department of «Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan» of Abai KazNPU together with the Ukrainian Cultural Center «T. Shevchenko Prosvita Zhetisu» (Almaty region) and the Ukrainian cultural center of Almaty are organizers of the round table.

The purpose of the event: the study of the heritage of the Ukrainian teacher V. A. Sukhomlinsky.

The meeting was opened by the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation of Abai KazNPU Aktolkyn Kulsariev, who noted that in KazNPU we know well, appreciate and use in practice the legacy of the famous Ukrainian teacher Vasyl Sukhomlinsky, who offered the world community his advanced, for that time, and even today, ideas for educating the younger generation, based on humanism, love for the child, respect for him as a person.

Nikolay Duras - Chairman of the Ukrainian Cultural Center «T. Shevchenko Prosvita Zhetisu» read out a greeting from the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ivan Kuleba, addressed to the Rector of Abai KazNPU, to Professor Takir Balykbayev.

Kazbek Mamsurov, deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Almaty welcomed participants of the «round table». Tatyana Kaydalova, Honored Teacher of Ukraine, presented an overview of the materials of the International Conference «Vasyly Sukhomlinsky in dialogue with modernity» at the meeting of the «round table».

Presentations were made by: Aigerim Kosherbaeva, Ph.D., professor, head of chair of «Pedagogy and Psychology» («V. Sukhomlinsky through the prism of centuries»), Sagynysh Oshakpayeva, Master of Education, senior lecturer of the chair «Pre-school education and social pedagogy» («Ideas of V.A. Sukhomlinsky at the present stage»), Gulzira Moldabekyzy, undergraduate of the 2nd course in pedagogy and psychology («The ideal of a man in Sukhomlinsky pedagogy»), Alexander Cherednichenko, Professor of the chair of Land Reclamation and Business of the Kazakh National Agrarian University («Letters to the son» of Vasily Sukhomlinsky»). There were other reports.

At the end of the event for its participants was presented a concert program of the choir collective «Ukraine».
