Discussion of the implementation of anti-corruption recommendations in the field of education and science

 

January 11, 2019 in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, discussion of the implementation of the first round of anti-corruption recommendations in the field of education and science was held. The discussion was attended by representatives of higher educational institutions of the city of Almaty (from Abai KazNPU - the first vice-rector Maktagali Bektemesov and professor Bakytzhan Toleubekova), experts from the Scientific Research Institute of Anti-Corruption Technologies and ACSA and AC in Almaty.


The discussion took place at the site of the project office «Sanaly Urpaq», where they also presented an electronic platform of corruption risk maps for evaluating the introduction of anti-corruption technologies in universities. Representatives of universities presented reports on the implementation of anti-corruption recommendations.


The first round of anti-corruption recommendations in the field of education and science of Kazakhstan was presented on November 16, 2018 by the chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption Alik Shpekbayev, akim of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baybek and Vice-Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aymagambetov with the participation of representatives from educational institutions.


«The Agency is purposefully working to eliminate corruption risks in all spheres of society, including in the activities of higher education institutions, making relevant recommendations based on the analysis», said Kalyrzhan Tokushev, head of the «Sanaly Urpaq» project office.


«The anti-corruption recommendations developed by the agency are aimed at establishing openness and transparency in the activities of higher educational institutions in order to eradicate possible corruption risks and improve the quality of training of future specialists», - Daniyar Taumurat, Head of ACSA and AC in Almaty, summarized the discussion on the implementation of anti-corruption recommendations.
