«Project start» - the driving force of active youth

For the first time, on the Year of Youth, at Abai KazNPU January 31 - February 1, a competition of creative projects and ideas of Almaty youth «Project Start» was held.

The main goal of the competition is the development of relations between young people from different universities and demonstration of practical achievements. The competition presented various projects and ideas in the «social», «IT», «scientific», «startup» areas. Representatives of 12 higher educational institutions of Almaty took part, including Satbayev University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Women`s Pedagogical University, Almaty Technological University, Turan University, Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Almaty University of Energy and Communications, Kazakh-British Technical University, Almaty O. Tansykbaev College of Decorative and Applied Arts.

On February 1, the opening of the SMART STUDENTS Youth Initiatives Support Center took place, due to which there were great opportunities for the creative development of young people when creating projects. Winners of the contest were awarded cash prizes: 1st place - 100,000 tenge, 2nd - 70,000, 3rd place - 50,000 tenge. In addition, 5 consolation prizes were awarded.

Having proved its competitiveness, the 1st place was taken by the owner of the best project of Satbayev University, the 2nd by the Kazakh National Agrarian University, and the 3rd place by the Almaty Technological University.

KazNPU, who first conducted a breakthrough megaproject «Project start», passed the baton to other universities of Almaty. Without a doubt, active ideological young people, developing and implementing innovative projects, will make a significant contribution to the development of the country in the future.
