Charity event «From the Heart»

On December 7, 2019, as part of the decade «Self-Knowledge: Pedagogy of Love and Creativity», in the social rehabilitation center for disabled people «ERZI» in Almaty, the volunteer club «Meyrіm» organized for people with disabilities a charity event «From the Heart».

The event was attended by: Daulen Idrisov, deputy director for educational work of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Gulbakhira Shirinbayeva, head of the Meirim volunteer club, student volunteers of the specialty «Social pedagogy and self-knowledge» of Abai KazNPU.

The main objective of the event is the social and pedagogical support of persons with disabilities, increasing the efficiency of the socialization process, meeting their emotional needs within the psychophysical possibilities with the help of a set of corrective exercises.

Within the framework of the social and pedagogical activities of students in order to acquaint and form a model of trusting relationships between the participants, communicative training of social skills, meaningful for people with disabilities, was conducted individually (on the principles of creativity).

A creative platform «From the Heart» was organized in the hall, where the performances and didactic educational games aimed at the disclosure of the personal resource (from self-knowledge to self-disclosure) of people with disabilities are presented. It focuses the main attention and efforts on the development of goals and values of young people with disabilities of the new system, which opens up broad opportunities for their development as a whole.

At the stage of reflexive analysis, participants in the event exchanged feelings that they experienced in the process of creating common creative activity. All the socially oriented functions of volunteer students were carried out in a warm and friendly atmosphere of Love.

At the end of the event, the student volunteers conducted a general analysis of the effectiveness of the social and pedagogical work of the group on a number of goals within the decade «Self-knowledge: the pedagogy of Love and Creativity».

Young people with disabilities: made new friends, their social circle became wider, and most importantly - they felt the opportunity to self-realize, to reveal their creative abilities.

Volunteer students acquired the skills of positive social interaction with people who need their social and pedagogical assistance and support.
