Memorial evening of Malik Gabdullin

On February 27, the memorial evening of the Hero of the Soviet Union, the well-known literary critic Malik Gabdullin on the theme «Kazakhtyn Kasiyet Kongan Ardakytsy» took place in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Malik Gabdullin, the hero of the 316th Infantry Division of General I. V. Panfilov, who showed heroism in defending the Moscow-Capital of the USSR against the German fascist invaders in 1941, was a political instructor of the company. Later he held various political posts.

Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of M.Auezov Institute of Literature and Art Ualikhan Kalizhan made a report on the life and work of M.Gabdullin. He noted that the collection of works of the mountain, a scientist from 11 volumes was published with the support of akim of Akmola region Malik Myrzali and the international Kazakh PEN club. This collection includes previously published scientific articles and essays of academician. At the meeting were presented this collection and presentation of the album «Mulik Kabdullin - Kazakty Okzhetpesi». The honorable right to cut the red ribbon was granted to Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Serik Kirabaev, writer Sarbas Aktaev and director of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University. Kudaiberdi Myrzabekov, director of the M. Gabdullin Museum in Kokshetau, spoke about the dedicated work on the preparation and release of a collection of 11 volumes, how well-known scientists and museum staff contributed to this.

Well-known literary critic, academician S. Kirabaev said: «I have known Malik since 1947. In KazPI he defended his thesis on the epos «Kobylandy batyr». Then I worked with him until 1973. Malik was the rector of the institute in 1953-1963. He also spoke about the heroism of M. Gabdullin, his citizenship, his teachings. The writer Sarbas Aktaev shared his thoughts on the civil-pedagogical features of M. Gabdullin. Professor of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Bakhtiyar Smanov noted that Malik worked with students both in the classroom and in the dormitory, and that this is one of his pedagogical qualities. Senior Researcher of M.Auezov Institute of Literature and Art Bakhytzhan Azibaeva, publishing director Vyacheslav Zakharovich, first director of the M.Gabdullin museum in Kokshetau Maria Kenzheakhmetkyzy, son-in-law of M.Gabdullina Almasbek Usenov.

Scientists and students of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, where M.Gabdullin for 10 years had was the rector, as well as teachers and students of M.Gabdullin secondary school Zhambyl district of Almaty region took part in the event.
