Opening of the Abai Center in the Pomeranian Academy of Slupsk (Poland)
In connection with the 50th anniversary of the Pomeranian Academy of Slupsk, a delegation of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University headed by Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation Aktolkyn Kulsarieva attended this university.
On 23 May, 2019 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Academy the Kazakh Culture and Science Center named after Abai was opened.
The seven-year cooperation of our universities is based on openness and mutual understanding. More than 150 of our bachelors, undergraduates and doctoral students underwent internship and semester training at this educational institution within the framework of an international agreement. The first four diploma of the European sample on the double-diploma program were obtained by our students at the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk. The scientists of our university are visiting professors of this academy. A whole range of scientific events has been carried out over the years of partnership. A new stage in developing international cooperation bringing our cultures and countries closer together was the opening of the Abai Center.
Thanks to the agreement of two managers of our universities - Professor Takir Balykbaуev and Professor Zbigniew Osadovsky a landmark event for the two countries took place. The event was attended by the Director of International Cooperation Department Aigul Iskakova, Head of Department of Russian Language and Literature Saule Abisheva, Department`s assistant professor Madina Abaeva. From the Polish side, the Vice-Rector of the Pomeranian Academy Danuta Gerchinska, the head of the Russian Language and Literature Department Galina Nefagina and the graduate of the Magistracy of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and now PhD student of the Pomeranian Academy Maxim Ponomarenko made a great contribution to the preparation of this event.
