10.08.2019 Abai University conducted complex testing in GMAT format
On August 10, 2019, in the first pedagogical university of the country - Abai KazNPU, the opening of complex testing in the GMAT format took place - entrance exams for groups of educational programs of the master`s program.
The opening ceremony was attended by rector Takir Balykbayev, head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the city of Almaty Kairat Suntaev, his first deputy Daniyar Taumurat, members of the regional Special Monitoring Groups, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Testing Center, members of the university admissions committee.
In order to ensure transparency and openness of the testing before the exams, Rector Takir Balykbayev acquainted the representatives of the Department of Anti-Corruption Service of Almaty, members of the regional Special Monitoring Groups with the composition of the MES commission, the testing process and the work of the entire commission. He also presented the technical means for video surveillance of the testing process installed in the classrooms.
At the beginning of testing, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai KazNPU Asan Satmyrzaev informed all applicants about changes to the testing rules and spoke about the GMAT format (English Graduate Management Admission Test), and wished success in passing exams.
This year, for the first time, the testing process will be observed by members of the regional Special Monitoring Groups together with the commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Testing Center.
Parents of applicants can observe the progress of the exams online from the screens installed outside the academic building. Also in the classrooms for the convenience of applicants all conditions are created.
Grants to the magistracy will be distributed according to the results of a single exam. Those who receive high scores during testing will receive grants and will choose a university to study for themselves. This will increase the openness and transparency of grant awards, as well as the competitiveness of universities.
