Abai KazNPU participates in the Global University Summit

On September 19, 2019 at the Scientific library of al-Farabi KazNU, the grand opening of the Global Summit of Universities, event of world significance was held. The opening and plenary meeting of the heads of delegations and representatives of international organizations were attended by representatives of our university - rector Takir Balykbayev, vice-rector for scientific work and international cooperation Aktolkyn Kulsariуeva, deputy director of the Department of development and quality analysis strategy Temirkhan Tasbulatov and other heads of structural divisions.

This summit will last three days, its program is very eventful. Plenary sessions, panel discussions, business meetings and the signing of memorandums of cooperation, an exhibition of the achievements of leading universities in the world will be held. These measures are aimed at realizing the goals of the state program «Rukhani Zhangyru», increasing the competitiveness of the domestic higher education system and exporting educational services.

In particular, the following will be held within the framework of the Global University Summit:
- World Conference and Exhibition QS World Wide «To perfection based on the harmonies of human heritage and high technology», organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in conjunction with the internationally recognized and reputable international rating agency QS;
- The meeting of the General Assembly of the Silk Road University Alliance (SUN), uniting more than 130 universities in the world;
- Work shop of the worldwide Network of Socially Responsible Universities (USRN), which includes leading universities from different countries and continents;
- The Global Congress «The Role of Youth in Realizing the Sustainable Development Goals - 2030» in support of the G-Global initiative.

Heads of more than 400 leading universities of the world, representatives of state structures and business, famous scientists, experts and leaders of the academic community will take part in them.

During the events, new models of the further development of universities will be discussed in the framework of the integration of education, science, advanced technologies and spiritual values. The meeting participants will also consider issues of collaboration and integration in the field of higher education, the implementation of joint scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian projects and other areas of interaction.

Particular attention will be given to the Congress «The Role of Youth in Realizing the Sustainable Development Goals - 2030», organized by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the G-Global International Secretariat. As you know, 2019 is declared the Year of Youth in Kazakhstan.

Holding global events will contribute to the dynamic development of higher education in the country and attract investment in this important area.
