International Scientific and Practical Conference
«The phenomenon of Rabiga Syzdyk: the present and future of Kazakh linguistics»

On November 22, 2019, representatives of the Kazakh language and literature department named after Academician S. Kirabaev of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education took part in the international scientific and practical conference. It was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of a prominent Turkologist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, corresponding member of the Turkish linguistic society «DilKorumu», honored worker of science, laureate of the State Prize of Kazakhstan and the prize named after S. Ualikhanov, holder of the Badge of «Honor», «Parasat» and «Barys», doctors of philological sciences, professor Syzdykova Rabigi Galievna. The conference was held on the theme «The phenomenon of Rabiga Syzdyk: the present and future of Kazakh linguistics».

As part of the event, the teachers of the department organized master classes and conducted «Readings of the works of Academician Rabiga Syzdyk» among students and undergraduates.

During the conference, an office named after Rabiga Syzdyk was opened. Rector of the university Takir Balykbayev took part in these events, who warmly congratulated the famous scientist and teacher.

The conference addressed the pressing problems of Kazakh linguistics, the scientific and pedagogical heritage of Rabigi Syzdyk, who made a huge contribution to the development of Turkology and modern linguistics.

The conference was attended by figures in education and science, society and the state, art and culture, who discussed the pressing problems of modern science.
