Name of vacant position:

Head of the Career Centre

The main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

Should know the structure of the university, directions of its activity, distribution of duties between vice-rectors, functions of directions of activity of enterprise structural subdivisions, main partner organisations and their heads;
Business etiquette, rules of business communication, official subordination, rules of conducting telephone negotiations.
Health, safety, industrial hygiene and fire protection rules and standards.
Ability to reason and make decisions. To be informed in the sphere of governing documents concerning educational process and employment of graduates.
Carry out operational management of the centre, ensure execution of orders of the rector concerning the centre`s activity.
To develop drafts of perspective and annual plans of the centre`s activity and to present them to the University management.
To supervise the implementation of planned activities, as well as the quality of work performed by the Center`s employees.
To ensure improvement of the centre`s efficiency, rational distribution of the employees, to take measures for increase of their creative activity, fulfillment of the assignments assigned to the centre by the University administration.
Develop documents for the distribution and employment of graduates.

Main job responsibilities:

Coordinate and control the activities of institutes and departments in organising the work to promote and maximise the employment of graduates.

Develop social partnership in training and employment of specialists of departments, institutes, centre with employers and employment services.

To exchange information about the university graduates and vacancies in schools and other organizations in their respective specialties.

Participate in job fairs, analyze the number of graduates arriving to places of distribution etc.

Organize and control the flow of documentation.

Control the implementation of the decisions and recommendations of the Academic Council and Rector on the issues of employment by directors, departments.

Preparation of draft orders.

Timely informing of institutes about the order of submission of documentation and control over submission of documentation.

Gathering the information from organizations and employment centres about vacancies and bringing it to the institutes.

Preparation of documentation for personal placement of graduates.

Within the framework of the quality management system, the head of the centre:

- Is responsible for ensuring that all processes required for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained;

- regularly reports to the top management on the functioning of the QMS and any need for improvement;

- is responsible for the awareness in the centre of the requirements of the customer (student, employer);

- supervises the implementation of corrective and preventive measures in the QMS.

Participate in the organization of the work for compliance with the requirements of ISQ 9001:2015, ISO 37001, educational standards of RK and customer requirements;

To take part in the organization of the development of measures to improve the quality of graduates, according to their nominated requirements.

To conclude agreements (jointly with institutes) with schools, to establish links with internships.

Professional experience required (duration, field, other)

Higher professional education and at least 3 years of work experience

Professional competencies:

Ability to draw up reports, references, memos, applications, minutes of orders, business letters

Personal competences and qualities:

Ability to work in a team, diligence, efficiency, communication, honesty, self-control, patience, courage, ability to work with information, confidence, politeness, responsiveness, striving for perfection in his activity

Knowledge of languages, including the national language (list of languages the candidate should be proficient in)

Kazakh and Russian, English welcome

Computer skills:

Ability to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail (Outlook Express), Opera, Chrome browsers, etc.
