Training of teachers in the conditions of the updated content of education

Today in Kazakhstan, one of the most discussed and really exciting for all citizens of the country is the system of updating the content of secondary education.

The problems related to this reform concern both the schools themselves, teachers, students and their parents, and the higher education system in terms of training future teachers.

To address these issues, December 26 2019, Abai Kazakh national pedagogical University initiated and organized jointly with the Ministry of education and science of Kazakhstan an extended meeting at the round table «Problems of development of secondary education and teacher training in terms of updated content».

The meeting was opened by the rector of Abai KazNPU - Takir Balykbayev. Vice-Minister of education and science of Kazakhstan Sholpan Karinova made an introductory speech. They stressed the importance of the topic raised.

The round table was attended by heads and representatives of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, pedagogical universities of the country, AEO «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools», National Academy of Education named after Y.Altynsarin, schools, regional and city education departments of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent, teacher training colleges, ICE «EDTECH-KZ» and many other interested organizations.

The following issues were considered at the event:

1. About the main directions of the state program of development of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025;

2. Problems of preparation of pedagogical shots;

3. Updated content of secondary education;

4. System of criteria-based assessment within the updated content of secondary education;

5. New ways and mechanisms of training teachers of the XXI century;

6. Quality management of education in secondary schools;

7. Continuity of pedagogical colleges and universities in the training of industry personnel;

8. Continuity of the pedagogical process of General secondary and higher education on the basis of the updated content of education;

9. Professional development of teachers in the context of the challenges of the XXI century;

10. Introduction of the electronic diary system in the educational process of the school;

11. The importance of working with students-trainees on the updated content of secondary education;

12. Readiness of young teachers to introduce the updated content of education in schools.

During the full working day, the key points of the «update» were discussed in detail with the developers of SES, SEQ and «Kundelik.kz».

In his closing speech, the rector of Abai KazNPU - Takir Balykbayev declared this platform permanent due to the large number of questions from all participants of the process with a proposal to hold such meetings at intervals of once a half-year.
