Poetry evening «Zurek Tilimen», dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai

On February 6, 2020, at the Almaty Regional Orphanage No. 1, an informative evening of poetry «Zhurek Tilimen» was held, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abay Kunanbayev. The event was organized by student volunteers - members of the «Meyirim» club as part of the decade «Self-knowledge: pedagogy of love and creativity».

The main goal of the literary evening is a deep understanding of the essence of Abay`s spiritual heritage and following his instructions in life, which contributes to realizing the potential of a true leader who inspires humanity with his example. The main objective of the event is to strengthen the high moral values promoted by Abai in the minds of young people.

As part of the evening, a demonstration of fairy tales «Zhurek tilimen» was held, where students and children performed Abai`s poems and songs, combining poetry with philosophical reflections. Volunteers presented a stage production based on M.O. Auezov`s famous novel «The path of Abai».

The main attention was paid to identifying the creative potential of children, which opens up wide opportunities for self-knowledge and the development of the emotional sphere as a whole.

The members of the «Meyirim» club managed to penetrate the hearts and souls of children with their inspired, creative performance, sparked hope for a bright future in them, aroused good feelings.

In general, the evening of poetry «Zurek Tilimen» provided ample opportunities for the harmonious development of students on the basis of universal values and preparing them for life.

At the end of the event, the participants exchanged positive impressions that they experienced in the process of this wonderful action.
