Unofficial meeting with akim of Medeu district of Almaty

On February 21, 2020, the university hosted an informal meeting of the university`s leadership with the akim of the Medeu district of Almaty, chairman of the regional branch of the «Nur Otan» party, Makezhanov Sultanbek.

During the meeting, the district akim met with members of the primary party organization «Abay» and discussed a number of pressing problems on social and public issues.

Then, employees and students who recently joined the «Nur Otan» party were awarded party tickets.

In addition, the district akim got acquainted with the work of the «Shapagat» Center for Digital Student Services, which has been functioning since 2017. He also attended the training of athletes of the Almaty Goalball Federation, held at the university gym.

«Goalball» is a very popular sport in the world for the visually impaired and included in the program of the Paralympic Games. In Kazakhstan, it is only developing.
