Republican Scientific Seminar in Remote Mode

 

On April 8, 2020, the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, as part of the Decade of Science, organized an online seminar on the topic «Actual Issues of Teaching Russian Language and Literature as part of Updating the School Content of Education».


The Director of the Institute, Professor Baltabay Abdigaziuly, welcomed the seminar participants.


During the seminar, Professor Gulmira Kazhygaliyeva reported on the successful testing of textbooks with updated content. Marina Asylbekova, editor-in-chief of the publishing house, told about the electronic textbooks of the Almatykitap Baspasy publishing house located on the public platform Opiq.kz.


The event participants saw vivid examples of working with an electronic textbook thanks to a detailed presentation by Yelena Kapranchik, editor-in-chief of the digitalization department of Almatykitap Baspasy publishing house.


The moderator of the seminar, the head of the department, Professor Saule Abisheva, shared with her colleagues her thoughts on the principles of the updated content of education, reflected in the textbook on Russian literature for grade 11. The electronic version of this newly appeared textbook has already gained wide distribution among teachers and schoolchildren, as it meets the demand for high-quality distance learning.


The seminar was attended by teachers, methodologists, and university professors from Almaty (several institutes of Abai KazNPU, KazGosZhenPU, Academy of Civil Aviation) and Almaty region (Kapshagy city, village Abai), as well as universities of the cities of Taraz, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk. Over 30 teachers attended the two-hour sessions of the seminar.


Concluding the seminar, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation of Abai KazNPU, professor Aktolkyn Kulsarieva noted the importance of such meetings and thanked the organizers and participants.
