Webinar «Conditions for the inclusion of children with special educational needs in the general educational space»

The third webinar of the Virtual Laboratory for Inclusive Education was held on May 6, 2020 at 15.00. The topic of the webinar: «Conditions for the inclusion of children with special educational needs in the general educational space». Webinar moderator - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Director of the Resource Advisory Center for Inclusive Education for Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan Z. Movkebayeva.

The event was opened by the Director of the Department of Science of Abai KazNPU Sakhiev S.K., who briefly acquainted the participants of the webinar with the activities of our university in conducting research in the field of special and inclusive education, spoke about interaction and cooperation with large foreign universities. He also noted the leading role of the university in promoting and disseminating the idea of including people with special educational needs in the process of higher and postgraduate education.

The main speaker of the webinar was Galia Abayeva, director of the State Institution «National Scientific and Practical Center for Correctional Pedagogy», which highlighted the current state of inclusive education development in Kazakhstan, presented the educational conditions for the practical implementation of the principle of inclusiveness in education and detailed the criteria and indicators of good practice in this area. Report of G.A. Abayeva aroused great interest among the audience, participants of the event actively asked questions, there was a stormy discussion of the problems that arise when children with special educational needs are included in the general educational space.

The webinar was attended by teachers of the Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Education, RIPK SB «Orleu» JSC, SATR LLP, the administration and teachers of preschool and school organizations in various regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, psychological and pedagogical correction rooms, psychological, medical and pedagogical consultations , representatives of NGOs, teaching staff of higher educational institutions of the country.

The webinar was held within the framework of the Virtual Laboratory of Inclusive Education, organized on April 29, 2020 by the Resource Advisory Center for Inclusive Education for Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan at Abai KazNPU.
