New Student Rector was elected

The head of the organisation of student self-government at the Abai KazNPU Student Rectorate was elected.

In accordance with the Regulations on the Student Rectorate the 3rd year student of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports Ibrahim Togzhan was elected as the Chairman of the Council by internal voting among the students-members for 2020-2021 academic year. The elections were held in an open format with the participation of university observer staff on a zoom platform, and the election results were recorded in a special protocol.

According to the Regulations on the Student Rectorate, the student rector has the full right to participate in the work of the Academic Council and the Rectorate - the highest body of the university, as well as to participate in university working groups and commissions on all student issues.

The main task of the Student Rector is to support the rights and interests of students at the university at various levels, to improve the standard of living of students by implementing the proposed necessary ideas and projects of students.

Togzhan Ibrahim, a 3rd year student of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports, specialising in «Choreography», born on 28 February 2001, was selected by voting for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Achievements: the owner of the 3rd place at the scientific conference-73, there are prizes in the Republican National Dance Competition named after D.Abirkulov, twice awarded with the Letter of Gratitude of the Rector of the University.

Public practice: twice was a member of the student rectorate in 2018-2020, acted as Deputy Student Rector.

The aim is to continuously develop and be in the midst of all events in the life of young people.

Wishing Togzhan Ibrahim success in his new public position, and Turegeldiev Kuanysh for his work as the previous Student Rector in 2019-2020, who this year should defend his thesis and finish his studies.
