Competition «Young translator»

On December 09, 2020, 2nd year undergraduates of the specialty «Translation» - Tashay Tansholpan, Khamraeva Sahibam, Adilbekova Aydin, Kalieva Tansholpan, Esbulatova Zarina, Abdrasil Nauryzbay under the guidance of Professor A.K. Zhumabekova organized and held a competition among freshmen «Young translator».

The competition was attended by 3 groups of 1st year students of the specialty «Translation». The competition was held in the form of a quiz, translation tasks. The goal of the competition is to teach future translators to react quickly, work in groups, and translate into three languages. Students took an active part, asked questions, made presentations. All participants were presented with e-books as gifts, each participant received a gratitude.

The competition was very interesting. The freshmen of the specialty «Translation Studies» thanked the organizers and expressed the hope that such games will be held frequently in the future.
