International aytys of young akyns «Menin pirim - Suyunbay»

On February 18, 2021, at Abai KazNPU the selection stage of the international aytys of young akyns «Menin pirim - Suyunbay», dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great akyn, master of the Kazakh oral-poetic art Zhambyl Zhabayev, in which 20 young aytyskers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and China participated.

Rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbayev and honoured worker of Kazakhstan, holder of Order «Parasat» and «Kurmet» Jursin Yermann delivered the welcoming speech.

During the event, Takir Balykbayev congratulated J. Erman on his 70th birthday and on behalf of the university presented him with a commemorative medal of Abai for his contribution to the development of the university and a valuable gift.

Twelve young akyns have made it to the final stage. Finals will be held on February 19 at 14:00.

In addition, as part of the event exhibitions of the literary and memorial museums of Suyunbay Aronuly and Zhambyl Zhabayev were organized. They displayed memorable exhibits relating to the lives and works of the great Kazakh poets.
