March 1 is Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is, first of all, a celebration of the policy of peace and harmony of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, which laid the foundation for peace and harmony, mutual trust and respect for all Kazakhstanis.

On March 1, 2021, at our university an informative round table "Thanks to my people" was held.

The round table was opened by Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Development Zhanatbek Ishpekbayev, who noted the importance of Thanksgiving for the country.

Professor Knyaz Mirzoev, Professor of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, a member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, noted that the Kazakh people have become a blessed home for millions of people of different ethnic groups who were forcibly relocated to Kazakhstan. In conclusion, Professor K. Mirzoev thanked all the people of Kazakhstan.

In his speech, the head of the department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Professor Guljihan Shaharman stressed the importance of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan for our country and the measures taken by the university to strengthen interethnic harmony.

Maksat Zhakau, the head of the Spiritual Revival Center, told the participants that Thanksgiving is a bright day of Kazakhstani patriotism, friendship and unity, and cultural diversity.

During the event, a video "Thank you - Kazakhstan" prepared by the Student Assembly "Birlik" was presented. On behalf of the youth, the chairman of the Committee for Youth Affairs Dildabek Didarbek, 1st year student of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education Ayagoz Omirzhankyzy, 3rd year student of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography Begench Humidaliev expressed their gratitude.
