Suicide problems in Kazakhstan and ways to prevent them were discussed at a scientific webinar

On April 8, 2021, teachers of the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor BerikAtash and Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Gulnara Rakhimova, organized a scientific webinar on the ZOOM platform on the topic «Problems of suicide in Kazakhstan and ways to prevent them». The organizers thanked the participants of the conference «Science Decade 2021» and raised many important and interesting aspects on this issue.

G. Rakhimova opened the event by emphasising the main philosophical aspects of suicide as a social phenomenon. The 2nd year student of the specialty «6B03103 - Sociology» DariyaTokusheva interested the listeners of the webinar with her report on the topic «Problems of suicides of military personnel». Professor B. Atash, increased public interest by focusing on the main reasons for the growth of suicide in modern Kazakhstan. At the end of the webinar, a specially invited psychologist from the Kazakh National Women`s Pedagogical University, Dilda Saktaganova, answered a question from students about the psychological characteristics of a person who commits suicide. Teachers and students took part in the scientific webinar with great interest.
