Round table «Tragic years of the Kazakh people»

on May 31, the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of Abai KazNPU held a round table «The tragic years of the Kazakh people» dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of victims of political repressions and famine. This event, according to the plan, was held on May 29, 2021, on the Zoom platform. The guests of honor at the round table were scientist-Alashtanushy, Deputy Chairman of the historical and educational society «Adilet» Beybit Koishybay, political scientist Talgat Zhanysbay and filmmaker Erkin Rakishev.

The main purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the hardships of those terrible years, which led to the death of innocent people and became a big blow to the nation, a tragedy of all our people. As you know, political repression led to the mass extermination of famous personalities who suffered in the struggle for independence. During the meeting, honorable guests paid tribute to the victims of political repressions, noting that the Kazakh people have experienced terrible, difficult times. 170 students and professors participated in the event and the honorable guests answered the questions during the round table.

In conclusion, the deputy director for educational work of the Institute of MPI Mukhashev Zhasulan thanked the organizers of the round table and the distinguished guests.
