Abai University was ranked for the first time

in the top 501 of QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022

 


 

Today, on September 23, 2021, the international analytical agency QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has published the annual report QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 - a ranking of the world`s universities in terms of the employment of their graduates. Abai University, participating in this ranking for the first time, ranked 501+ place among 550 ranked world universities. It should be noted that the total number of universities participated in the ranking was 679.


Despite the fact that 8 Kazakhstani universities participated in the ranking, only three universities (KazNU named after Al-Farabi, Abai KazNPU, KarSU named after Buketov) managed to get into the ranking and the final table «QS Graduate Employability Rankings». We are proud to note that Abai University is the only pedagogical university to be included in such a significant report on the impact of university choice on graduate employment prospects.


The ranking uses a methodology in which Employer Reputation is responsible for 30% of the final result, Alumni Outcomes is 25%, Partnership with Employers - 25%, Employer - Student Connections is 10%, Employment - 10%. It should be noted that Abai KazNPU ranked 38th place in the world in terms of «Graduate Employment Rate», thereby surpassing the above 2 Kazakhstani universities. Notably, this indicator measures the percentage of graduates who are employed full-time or part-time within 12 months of graduation. The university ranks 201+ in terms of «Employer - Student Connections» and «Partnership with Employers», as well as, 301+ rank in the world in terms of «Employer Reputation» and «Alumni Outcomes».


Note that the stable position of Abai University in this ranking is provided by close ties of the university with schools and developed system of graduate employment assistance, created in the university Career Center «Mansap». Thus, our university is one step closer to leading in teacher education in the CIS.
