Seminar «Using Scopus in the preparation of scientific article

and the selection of a journal for its publication»

On September 29, 2021 the Abai KazNPU, in theDepartment of Science, professor-researcher Zhanna Khamzina and postdoctoral student Talgat Kilybaev held a scientific seminar «Using Scopus in the preparation of scientific article and the selection of a journal for its publication». The online meeting was held through the Zoom platform, which was attended by representatives of the university administration, teachers, PhD doctoral students, undergraduates, and interested persons.

During the event, the stages of preparing articles for publication in top-rated journals, the requirements for articles, the barriers that scientists most often face, and the use of Scopus as a tool for selecting a journal were considered. In addition, the speakers presented ways to identify predatory journals. The participants of the meeting asked and discussed questions on the topic of the webinar.
