Issues of cooperation with Otto von Guericke University were discussed

On November 12, 2021, the vice-rector for research activities of Abai KazNPU Buribayev E.A. met with the director of the Institute of Mechanics H. Altenbach from Otto von Guericke University (Germany).

Professor Holm Altenbach is a well-known scientist in the field of mechanics of materials and structures, condensed matter physics, editor-in-chief of the scientific journal «ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik», member of the European Association of Mechanics, foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. From November 8 to December 3, 2021, he lectures at Abai KazNPU in offline mode.

During the meeting, issues of interaction in the field of joint scientific research, training of scientific personnel and academic cooperation between universities were discussed. The conversation was also attended by the head of the Department of Physics of Abai KazNPU Kosov V.N.
