Abai KazNPU teachers won the main prizes of the Eurasian high fashion national costume contest «ETHNO-ERATO-2021»

On November 27-28, 2021, the 20th Eurasian high fashion contest of the national costume «ETHNO-ERATO» took place in Moscow (Russia). In total, 150 collections of clothing were presented within the framework of the competition.

The works presented were evaluated by an authoritative jury of the contest, including recognized experts in the traditions of national costume and fine connoisseurs of decorative and applied art. Among them, Kazakhstan was represented by Kanapyanova Raushan, professor of Abai KazNPU, member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan.

The main prize of the contest «Golden scissors with a diamond» and diploma in the nomination «For professionalism» in the jubilee contest was awarded to Asem Abizhanova for the collection «Altyn» dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev. The nominee represented Abai KazNPU.

In the 2017 contest, Kanapyanova R.H. presented the collection «Shanyrak» and won first place and the «Golden Statuette» in the nomination «Retro National Costume». And at this year`s gala concert, the Shanyrak collection delighted the sophisticated audience in the Russian capital. In the Great Hall of the Government of Moscow, at the anniversary gala concert, Kanapyanova R.H. was awarded the contest`s special prize «Golden Needle» for her unique contribution to the preservation and development of folk culture and active participation in the contest and with two «Letters of Thanks» from the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia and the Government of Moscow.
