Meeting with veterans of the Afghan war

On February 15, 2022, on the occasion of 33rd anniversary of the end of the war in Afghanistan at Institute of History and Law a meeting with veterans of this war was organized. The main purpose of the event was to foster in young people a love for their Motherland and to instil the main values of Kazakh society, such as stability, unity and tolerance.

Veterans of Afghan war, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Kurmanbek, PhD in Law, Colonel Egemberdy Abylkasymov, Chairman of the Association «Kok Bayrak» Auez Bisembayev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Social Philosophy Zhomart Simtikov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Law Sergazy Kusainov were invited to attend the meeting.

Deputy Director for Educational Work Nurbolat Manapbayev introduced guests and wished them success in their work.

Afghan veterans recollected their days on fields of battles, told that after returning home they remembered every day about horrors of war and called students to value peace and order in the country and to be real patriots.

The students thanked the guests for the evening and performed kuy and songs about their love for homeland.
