Doctoral student of the Polish University undergoes an internship at Abai KazNPU
From February 15, 2022, the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education will host a four-month scientific internship Yuri Serebryansky, a doctoral student at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland).
The doctoral student graduated from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn with a degree in Intercultural Relations in Europe and al-Farabi KazNU.
The topic of his future dissertation is «Russian language in a foreign language environment. On the example of modern Poland». Y. Serebryansky represents the Department of Linguistics of the Polish University, its supervisor is Professor, Doctor of Philology Elena Potekhina.
The young scientist is known in Kazakhstan and Poland as a writer and literary translator. He is the owner of a number of literary awards, including the Russian Prize and the Altyn Kalam Prize. Author of six books of prose and poetry, a collection of essays and interviews. Member of the IWP International Writers` Residence in Iowa City (USA). Works by Yuri Serebryansky have been translated into Kazakh, English, Polish, German, French and other languages. His works have been published in Kazakh, Russian, American and European literary magazines.
An internship at a Kazakhstani university will be useful for a doctoral candidate, and acquaintance with a famous writer will be an important event for our future linguists - students and undergraduates.
