Meeting of the Rector of Abai KazNPU Darhan Bilalov with representatives of the Public Foundation «Centre of social inclusive programs»

 

On March 3, 2022, a meeting of the Rector of Abai KazNPU Darhan Bilalov with the representatives of the Public Foundation «Centre of social inclusive programs» was held.

 

During the meeting the questions of cooperation in the preparation of inclusive education personnel, tutors as teacher-assistants, additional courses that will enable them to specialize in certain EP, the implementation of professional retraining of tutors and methodological support of their work were discussed.

 

Darkhan Bilyalov highlighted the tasks of our university as an involved university, aimed at solving specific problems of education in Almaty and the country, and talked about working with schools, retraining of personnel in demand at the moment, as well as interaction with employers and the centre «Orleu», and holding practice for students. The rector also expressed readiness to cooperate for developing inclusive education, which ensures equal right to education and its accessibility for children with disabilities, choosing the appropriate direction of their education. The need for psychological testing tools was also stressed.

 

«In Kazakhstan, unfortunately, the number of children who need the help of tutors is increasing. And we need to be prepared for that. Every child, regardless of physical, intellectual, social, emotional, linguistic and other peculiarities, should be educated and cared for», said the head of the leading pedagogical university of the country.

 

Saltanat Murzalinova-Yakovleva, President of the Centre for Social Inclusion, spoke about the Centre`s activities and the need to retrain teachers. According to her, the need for such specialists in Kazakhstan is growing every year.

 

The meeting was productive for both sides. The participants exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in this important area.
