International Literary Lounge «The Rebellious Sail of Lermontov»

On March 3, 2022, the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education held a meeting in the traditional literary lounge dedicated to the work of the great Russian poet M.Y. Lermontov.

The guests were schoolchildren and teachers of the Specialized Lyceum No. 165 in Almaty, students and teachers of Abai KazNPU. They were greeted by Tatyana Baryshnikova, Consul of Russia, head of the Russian House in Almaty.

Eighth-graders prepared a story about the fate of the poet, read his poems wonderfully. Students and schoolchildren were carried away by an excursion around the Lermontov Museum, which was conducted by Maria Fedorova, a researcher at the State Lermontov Museum-Reserve «Tarkhany» (Russia). Thanks to the special sincere intonation of this story, the meeting participants seemed to be transported to that house, the walls of which remember the great poet.

Marina Asylbekova, the organizer of the Literary Lounge, and Saule Abisheva, Head of the Department, thanked everyone present and wished young readers new discoveries in poetry.
