The results of the International Essay Competition have been summed up

The Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, together with the Russian House in Almaty, held an international competition dedicated to the International Mother Language Day, which is celebrated annually on February 21 at the initiative of UNESCO. The competition was attended by students of secondary educational institutions (schools, gymnasiums, lyceums) aged 14 to 17 years.

The competition started on February 1st. Within a month, more than 170 works were sent from different cities, towns, villages of our country, Moscow region. Such a large number of works testifies to the indifference of schoolchildren and their desire to reflect on their native language.

On March 10, 2022, a solemn award ceremony was held at the National Library of RK. The guests were greeted by the Director of the National Library Bakytzhamal Ospanova and Consul of Russia, Head of the Russian House in Almaty Tatyana Baryshnikova.

Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, Abai KazNPU Saule Abisheva sincerely thanked all the participants of the competition and noted the great role of the word in a person`s life, because it is the word that has creative power, helps to live, develop, be kinder.
