Personal creative exhibition of Rahim Shegebayev «Syrly Alem»

On March 18, 2022, the Institute of Art, Culture and Sports of the Abai KazNPU hosted a personal exhibition of Rahim Shegebayev, a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a graduate of «Art and Graphic» Faculty. The event was attended by Rector Darkhan Bilyalov, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Financial Activities Klara Iskakova, Chairman of the Council of Veterans Berikzhan Almukhambetov, Director of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports Tokkozha Kozhagulov.

Artist Rahim Shegebayev was born on January 1, 1947 in Karmakshi district of Kyzylorda region. In 1971 in Almaty Art and Fine Art School named after N.V. Gogol completed a course in «Drawing». In 1975 graduated from our university on speciality «Teacher of drawing and plotting» of faculty «Art and fine art». From 1975 till 1992 worked as the head of the Kyzylorda directorate of the art exhibition of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 1992-1996 he was a lecturer at Kyzylorda State University named after Korkyt-Ata, Faculty of «Design».

From 1996 to the present, Head of the art and Picture gallery of the Kyzylorda Regional Museum of Local History. Participant of national and international exhibitions. His works occupy a place in the funds of independent collections. In his works in the genre of landscape, the lyrical picture of the steppe is especially characteristic. He marks every moment of the phenomenon of nature with the colors of feelings inherent in his autograph. Consciousness and philosophical thought, compactness in artistic language occupied a special place in the artist`s works. The main theme of the brush is the image of Korkyt Baba, the great thinker of the Turkic world.
