Round table on «Methodology of the Latin alphabet»

On March 30, 2022 a round table discussion on the discipline «Methodology of the Latin alphabet» was held, organized by the scientific-practical laboratory «Latyn» at the Scientific Innovation Park Abai LABS of our university.

Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor F.Sh. Orazbayeva made opening speech and told about aims and tasks of the discipline. Then K. Kalybayev delivered a report on «The content of knowledge of methodology of the Latin alphabet». She told about phonemic, phonetic, morphological, traditional and historical principles of new orthographic rules, the law of consonance and harmony in the Kazakh language, main rules established in the practice of writing up to the present time. The orthographic practices of other Turkic languages that switched to the Latin alphabet were also taken into account.

Senior teacher K. Seitalieva during the presentation on «Normative principles of discipline «Latin alphabet» informed about syllabus of the discipline, showed examples of tasks and complex works. In the course of the discussion lecturers of the Kazakh language and literature department of S. Kirabayev Kokanova J. and Raeva G.

The round table was attended by teachers of the department, school teachers, students, undergraduates and doctoral students, questions were asked and the topic raised was discussed.
