Opening of the Korean language room

On April 8, 2022, there was held a ceremony of opening of the Korean language class room in classroom 305 of Building 10 of Abai KazNPU, located at 25 Zhambyl Street.

Welcoming remarks were made by the Director of the Institute of Philology A.V.Tanzharykova, Deputy Director of the Institute A.A.Naymanbayev, Deputy Director of the Korean Educational Centre under the Embassy of South Korea in Kazakhstan Park Daesun. Alua Tanzharykova noted that the administration of the university attaches great importance to the teaching of Oriental languages, including Korean, and thanked the Head of the Department and the teachers who participated in such good events.

Park Daesun stressed the importance of such events initiated by Abai KazNPU, noting that the relationship of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and science will continue to develop.

Teachers of the Department of Oriental Languages and Translation took part in the opening ceremony of the Korean Centre. Head of the Chair of Oriental Studies and Translation K.H.Abdrakhmanova and Korean language teacher N.Nam congratulated the participants.

The event ended with a small concert programme organized by the 1st year students of the Department of Korean Studies.
