International Congress «Children and books in a multicultural world»

On September 26, 2022, the III International Congress «Children and Books in a Multicultural world», organized by the Scientific and Expert Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, the ALTAIR Academy of Children`s Books and T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, began its work in the Republican House of Friendship. The event is dedicated to the Year of the Child in Kazakhstan and is aimed at creating conditions for the development of scientific, methodological interest in children`s and youth literature. Scientists, children`s writers and poets, translators, librarians, publishers and teachers gathered at the Supreme Congress.

Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai University Saule Abisheva took part in the work of the section «Children`s book: features of language and style». Her report «M. Makatayev`s poetry for children» was devoted to the problem of childhood in the work of the Kazakh poet, because it is a special part of his fate and poetry. Childhood defined the main theme of creativity which is Motherland.
