Anti-corruption culture and ideology of integrity

On October 5, 2022 in Abai KazNPU in accordance with the comprehensive plan of anti-corruption in the academic year 2022-2023 under the project "Sanaly urpaq" Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography organized a meeting with anti-corruption compliance officer Usipov Kambar on "The formation of anti-corruption culture and the promotion of the ideology of integrity. The meeting was attended by off-line Deputy Director of the Institute for Educational Work, editors and 1st year students of geography and biology specialties (85 students), students of the 3rd-4th years (25 students) in online format.

K.T.Usipov informed about legislative changes in the field of anti-corruption and gave an overview of the course of events held at the university. He noted that in general the activities aimed at observing the principles of academic integrity and anti-corruption were conducted in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan of the University, spoke about the competencies of the Anti-corruption Council, holding thematic surveys, meetings, creative competitions, round tables to educate the students in the spirit of anti-corruption. The students were instructed on compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001-2016 - anti-corruption management system implemented in the university in recent years.

In addition, in accordance with the requirements of the Concept of anti-corruption policy of RK for 2022-2026 a new version of the University`s Anti-Corruption Policy, Instruction (Leaflet), as well as QR-code to provide feedback and which will be placed in a prominent place in all buildings of the University, as well as in the dormitories. Despite the positive changes in the allocation of hostels (transition to the new digital format), the Compliance Officer informed about the still existing intermediaries among students using a concrete example. Therefore, continuous explanatory work on the part of the Envoys is of great importance in this direction.
