Dear students and teachers of Abai KazNPU!

Abai KazNPU Partner - Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Turkey invites those wishing to participate in the Mevlana exchange program in the following areas: Sociology (Bachelor, Master), Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literature (Bachelor, Master and PhD), History (Bachelor, Master and PhD), Geography (Bachelor), Music (Bachelor), Guidance and Psychological Counselling (Bachelor), Elementary Education (Bachelor), Preschool Education (Bachelor), Political Science and International Relations (Bachelor).

Students of the undergraduate, master and doctoral studies can participate in the Mevlana exchange program.

Conditions for participation for students:

1. Students of the 1st year of undergraduate, graduate or doctorate studies can not participate in this program in the first semester of their studies, as well as third-year students cannot participate in the Mevlana program.

2.The GPA of undergraduate students should be at least 2.5 / 4.0 (or 65% of the school`s progress out of 100%), GPA undergraduates and doctoral students - not lower than 3.0 / 4.0 (or 76.66% of the school`s performance out of 100%).

3. The certificate of passing the test for knowledge of the Turkish language.

4. Knowledge of the English language will be a competitive advantage of the applicant.

5. The assessment takes into account 50% of the GPA and 50% of the language proficiency.

6. Training period: 4 months.

To participate in this program you need:

1. fill in the Candidate Student Application Form;

2. provide a transcript in English language;

3. provide a certificate for knowledge of the Turkish language.

The scholarship for students at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University is appointed for 4 months. 80% of the scholarship is paid monthly; the rest of the scholarship will be paid based on the results of training.

There is no travel payments and visa costs for students.

Steps of the competition under the MEVLANA program:

1) All documents in a single electronic format (PDF) should be sent to mevlana@abaiuniver.kz by March 4, 2020. Keep the title of the document with the contents of the full name, specialty, course of study and level of preparation (bachelor`s degree - Bachelor, master`s degree - Master, doctoral studies -PhD). For example: ALIYA_SABYROVA_ HISTORY_2YEAR_BACHELOR. In the subject of the e-mail you must indicate the full name, specialty and course of study.

2) The preliminary competition meeting of Abai KazNPU commission will be held on March 5, 2020 (the time of the meeting of commission will be reported by phone / e-mail).

3) Sending documents of the nominated selected students by the preliminary commission to the partner university.

4) Waiting for the results of the competitive commission of the partner university.

Terms of participation for Teaching staff

For the teachers, the Mevlana program provides for the Turkish-paid lecture to be given at least 6 hours a week. If teachers do not accumulate the required number of hours, then in this case, they will evaluate their seminars, work with groups, and also participate in conferences.

The duration of the mobility program for Teaching staff is planned from 2 weeks to 3 months.

To participate in this program, teachers should:

1. Fill in the Academic Staff Information Form;

2. Provide a resume;

3. Prepare information on publications, presentations, projects;

4. Develop a work plan in the host institution;

5. Good command of English or Turkish (the certificate is presented at the request of the university).

Flight, visa expenses and insurance are paid by the teachers themselves *

The final decision on obtaining a grant from students, undergraduates, doctoral students and faculty members is left to the Turkish side.
