On 7 April , 2017 our university was visited the delegation from Vytautas Magnus University under the guidance of the rector Juozas Augutis, as well as Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Ineta Dabašinskienė and Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences doc. Saulius Mickevičius
        Vytautas Magnus University is one of the oldest universities in Lithuania. It was founded in 1922. Representatives of the Lithuanian delegation met with representatives of Abai KazNPU under the guidance of the first pro-rector Mubarak Y.Yermaganbetov . Lithuanian and Kazakh colleagues had an opportunity to get to know each other: to talk about the activities of their universities, share experiences and changes that have occurred over the years of collaboration, as well as outline the prospects for further cooperation in the development of academic mobility. Our university has long been cooperating with Vytautas Magnus University. This cooperation began in November 2005.
          During the meeting, Lithuanian representatives informed about that soon Vytautas Magnus University and Lithuanian University of Educology will merge into one university. In its turn Lithuanian University of Educology is also our partner.

           The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, at the end of meeting Lithuanian guests visited the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute. The meeting was moderated by the International Cooperation Department.
