The importance and challenges of pedagogical practice

The Abai KazNPU Career Centre held a meeting on the organisation and importance of pedagogical practice. The event was attended by Zhanbekov Khairulla, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs, Kalibekova Saule, the new Head of the Career Centre and the staff responsible for the practice by institute.

The progress of pedagogical practice of 4th year undergraduate students in pedagogical specialty was explained, and the format and topics of upcoming activities were outlined. Kh. N. Zhanbekov emphasized that the main issue is the qualitative passing of internship and, due to this, he considers the possibility of installation of QR-list in order to control the students` attendance online. It was reported that starting from this academic year, 3-4-year undergraduate students will not be able to undergo pedagogical practice in educational organizations in the rural district. Supervisors in charge of the internships at the institutes discussed the issues arising in the organization of this process. From September 30 to October 4, 2022 an Intra-Institute Pedagogical Council was organized and in accordance with the order the supervisors appointed for our students were asked to make an introductory, explanatory work with the school management. Summing up the results of the meeting, S.Zh. Kalibekova said that in order to see the results of pedagogical practice, it is necessary to conduct daily differentiation and to teach students to analyze, record the results of these observations in the diary of practice, to make a final analysis of the knowledge gained during the practice, organize lessons and other activities under the supervision of department heads, give topics, format and timing. It is decided that each institute will submit a report of the event according to the deadline.
