Neighbourhood of Cultures in the 21st Century of Central Asia

On November 8, 2022 the Vice-Rector for Strategy, Digitalization and Internationalization A.T.Kulsarieva and Head of the UNESCO Chair in Pedagogy and Teacher Training at Abai KazNPU I.I.Khalitova attended the International Conference «Neighbourhood of Cultures in the 21st Century of Central Asia», which was organized by the Nazarbayev Center for Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue.

The main purpose of this social and political event was to consolidate the regional efforts of the parties concerned in the field of interfaith dialogue and the rapprochement of cultures, as well as to step up fruitful partnership between the countries of Central Asia.

Sixteen speakers took part in the conference: representatives of ministries, religious organizations, the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office and higher education institutions. The UNESCO Chair in Pedagogy and Teacher Education of Abai KazNPU made a presentation on «Fostering a culture of neighbourliness and global citizenship».
