Pedagogical practice: students prove the knowledge gained during their studies

Pedagogical practice of students in the 4th year of the educational program «6B01515-Geography» under the supervision of Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies Department of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography S. Kassenov was held from November 7 to December 28, 2022. Before the students went to practice an organizational-instructional conference, where the aims and objectives of practice were explained. The instructional conference was passed also on the base of comprehensive school №58 of Education Department of Almaty, approved as a base of pedagogical practice. Students got acquainted with administration of school and the rules of the internal order of this educational institution.

The material base of the subject office at school is equipped with the modern equipment. During preparation to the everyday lesson students have constantly rendered methodical help by the teacher of Geography Tanatarova O.

All students during practice gave open lessons with wide use of various methods, pedagogical technologies, platforms and uploaded them to their YouTube channel.

They also presented their exhibits at the city exhibition in Lyceum No.178. Students Azat Chingisbekuly, Zhumagali Dias, Akserik Aruzhan and Zhumatay Aruzhan were particularly active in organising and conducting the didactic exhibition. In addition to teaching, the students supervised the class assigned to them. A school-wide event was organised on "Road Safety - Safety of Life", where students were given information on road traffic rules and organised an intellectual game.

The overall results of the pedagogical practice were discussed and summarised with the students. During the pedagogical practice, they were particularly active, proving in practice the theoretical knowledge acquired within the walls of the university.
