International Forum «Paradigms of Science Education and Science for Sustainable Development

International youth scientific forum «Paradigms of science education and science for sustainable development» was held on December 24, 2022 in Abai KazNPU. The event was held in the framework of the international project «Promoting Teacher Education for Climate Change Education through Collaboration between Asian Centres of Excellence on Education for Sustainable Development», implemented by the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography together with the University of Okayama (Japan).

The aim was to analyze trends in the development of modern natural science and education in general in accordance with the ideas of sustainable development. The main directions of the forum`s work:

1. Paradigms of science education and science;

2. Current trends in science education for sustainable development;

3. Regional aspects of implementation of sustainable development ideas;

4. Sustainable development for safety and livelihood of territories;

5. Consolidation and coordination on SDG issues in the context of globalisation and post-pandemic;

6. Trends in modern education and science in the field of environmental security.

The forum was attended by young scientists from universities and research institutes in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, France and Japan. The active discussion of the speakers` reports and the results of their scientific research indicate that the event was held at a high level. During the forum, the Young Scientists Councils discussed the implementation of joint research projects, ways and forms of further cooperation. At the end, Kulash Kaimuldinova, Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, presented the speakers and active participants with letters of appreciation and certificates and wished the young scientists every success in their research work.
